Thank you from Chloe
This is a picture of Chloe with her blanket. The luncheon Wednesday was amazing! Chloe gave her first speech. It was only about a minute and a half and she did a great job. Seattle Children's and the Sequim Guild showered her with gifts.
Chloe wants to make a difference and I think this was a great start. Living with type 1 diabetes is a 24/7 job. We have good days and bad. One day she will tell you everything she knows about her diabetes, the next she'll ask why do I have to have diabetes. It's not easy for a parent to hear those words.
She is a shy girl until she gets to know a person. Then watch out! She'll talk your ear off. She is very open to talking about her diabetes. Showing someone her pump and how it works or maybe how she checks her blood sugar.
This summer will be her first diabetes camp! She is very excited to see more kids that are going through what she goes through.
This quilt is something very special. Even more so since it came from our home town.
This letter was sent by Chloe's mom Angela Loucks
